Sterling Silver Mini Flower Hook Earrings with Gem Beads, Designed for the Netflix series MAID
I was so excited to be asked to design some 90's inspired earrings for the Netflix series MAID. I was making jewellery in the 90's so I looked through my archives to find this flower design and matched it with a variety of gem beads. The costume designers chose the turquoise quartz and purple jade for the show, as well as a couple of other designs to be featured in the show.
It was the height of the pandemic and the movie business in Vancouver was carefully trying to re-start. Stores were still closed and it was difficult for costumers to find products, so they called me up and the rest is history.
The turquoise quartz earrings are the ones that Margaret Qualley wears through most of the series. I was so excited to see these pieces in action!
These solid sterling silver earrings are made by hand and feature locking ear wires. These come tagged and boxed.
The original round turquoise quartz beads are completely sold out and are unable to be restocked. You can still purchase these earrings with the oval turquoise quartz bead shown in the main image and on the hand, they are identical except for a slightly more oval shape.
The purple jade has a more narrow shape, and the black onyx is the identical round coin shape as shown in the series.
